My daddy is a real life hero. He is a hero because he is a police officer and takes care of other people every day. He is a crime fighter, catching criminals so he can save all the good people in the city. He's smart, honest, and brave, like a super hero. I was born when my daddy was in Iraq for the first time. He went back again right after I turned a year old. I think that's where he learned to be a hero. Now that he is a police officer, he uses his super power to fight crime. He protects people who need help and arrests bad people to keep us all safe. He is my hero because it's a dangerous job but he loves helping people. I think my daddy is a real life hero. I hope I can be like him one day.
My superhero is Debbie Portner. She works at Cornerstone Counseling. Debbie is a superhero because she helped me return my life to normal after my friend died. Her superpowers include: listening to people's problems and always knowing the answer, being kind and respectful, and having a heart of gold. Losing a loved one can be very difficult for a child. Debbie knows how to mend broken hearts and prevent grief from swallowing people whole. Sometimes real life heroes, such as a counselor, can be greater heroes than Superman.

I had a broken heart, and I am happy to say it’s fixed now! There are so many people who helped fix my heart, and Dr.VonBergen was one of them. He fixes children’s hearts every day. Dr.VonBergen did both of my heart surgeries; in total I had two. My first heart surgery did not go well. Dr.VonBergen couldn’t fix my heart. He was very disappointed and was determined to fix it during another surgery, which took place a year later. My second heart surgery went perfectly. I know he is a good person, because he didn’t just heal my heart, he healed my whole life. Because Dr.VonBergen fixed my heart I can now do all of the things I love to do, this is why Dr.VonBergen is my hero.
My real super hero in my life is Mrs. Benford. She is my third grade teacher. Her super powers helps her change our classroom into a wonderful place to learn. She is generous, caring and hard working. Because of these qualities, our school is a better place than it was before she came. Mrs. Benford is generous. Every day we are given a quote that helps us become the best we can be. We talk about it so we can understand them. Mrs. Benford is hard working. She goes to other schools to learn how to be a better teacher. But I think that she is already a great teacher. She teaches the right way all the time. She sings and makes up songs to keep us laughing and learning. She tries hard to help us get it. That takes a super power there! Mrs. Benford has superpowers that she uses every day. I have never had a teacher like her. This is why she is my super hero.
My hero that I look up to is my big brother. I look up to him because he taught me how to walk and he's like the brother I could never imagine. I also choose him for my hero because he's in the air force and he serves the country to risk his life for the freedom of this country. I'm worried that he has to go to war. He's my hero because he is one of the nicest brother that I have. He always plays sports and he gives me some tips on sports that I play. The best thing about my brother is that he feels how I mean when I'm hurt. If I'm sad he cheers me up to make me feel better. That's why I choose my big brother for my hero.
